“See the thing is, when I’m around you during the day I may act completely normal, even happy-ish per say. And that’s the only me you get to see. But at night or when I’m alone, these thoughts start to creep into my head. These thoughts you see, they’re the bad type. The bad type that put these scars on my wrist. The bad type that made that bottle of pills go away real quick. You see, I’m real good at hiding these thoughts around people, I’m too focused on the people and the scenery around me to let them get to the front of my mind. I’m too focused on making sure you think I’m happy. But they’re still there in the back of my mind, waiting for the time where I just can’t stop them from flooding my whole head. They over run me. They’re like a tornado siren. They’re loud and abrupt and alert me of danger. And there is nothing I can do to shut these thoughts out. I can’t shut them out, can’t shut them off I can’t stop them. they just takeover my mind until the next time I have to appear happy to ths outside world. so yes you may wonder why I have these scars or why I’m sad sometimes because ya know I seem so happy. But these thoughts, the bad types, just know they’re always there.”
